On October 22nd, within the framework of the II Scientific-Professional Conference on Child and Adolescent Mental Health, the Spanish Observatory of Child and Adolescent Mental Health, observainfancia.es, was presented. The conference, organized by the Research Center for Childhood and Adolescence of the Miguel Hernández University, presented the data from the first wave of the EMOChild project (Emotional Disorders among Childhood) funded by the Department of Education, Universities and Employment of the Generalitat Valenciana (CIPROM/2021/0031). Observainfancia is a new platform derived from the EMOChild project, dedicated to the epidemiological monitoring of mental health in childhood and adolescence. The project coordinator, Professor Mireia Orgilés, stressed that this observatory will provide data on the mental health of children and adolescents in Spain, monitoring psychological problems and disorders at this stage of development with the aim of providing a better social and professional response. The platform will give visibility to the technical reports and publications derived from EMOChild to increase the impact of the study, have a social impact and propose measures and actions for improvement.
