A study by Verónica Marcos, Álvaro Montes, Blanca Rea, and Dolores Seijo, published in the RPCNA, has revealed that almost 30% of Spanish adolescents suffer from bullying at school. This phenomenon has serious repercussions on mental health and academic performance. Bullying is associated with mental health problems such as depression and anxiety, as well as difficulties in attention and anger control. Additionally, those affected are twice as likely to experience academic failure. These findings underscore the urgency of implementing effective anti-bullying prevention and intervention programs.
