This month marks the beginning of a series of focus groups that are part of the qualitative study of the EMO-Child project. The goal is to examine various aspects of child mental health, guided by child clinical psychologists who are in daily contact with children and adolescents with psychological issues. The scripted meeting addressed important topics such as the perception of the most common difficulties, screen and social media abuse, the resources available to professionals in this field, and the functioning of referrals to available mental health services. The qualitative study of EMO-Child plans to conduct other focus groups in different areas of the national territory with new experts in child health, as well as with parents, adolescents, and children. All the information collected will be used to prepare a report on the perception of different stakeholders regarding emerging issues in child mental health, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of healthcare resources.
