The EMO-Child study looks at mental health from the perspective of children. One of the centers that participates is the CC Cruz de Piedra in Jumilla, Murcia. During the session, a focus group of students between 9 and 11 years old discussed their perceptions about mental health. The objective was to analyze the opinion of children regarding mental health problems in their age group. The aim is to understand how they identify and assess the psychological difficulties they face on a daily basis and the responses they receive from the educational and health system. The children also reported on their perception of the benefits of the psychologist. In addition, current problems such as self-harming behavior and bullying were explored, proposing actions themselves to address each of the situations. Finally, the students gave their opinion on the current use of social networks and the restrictions they have at home to use them, reaching very interesting conclusions on the topics discussed.
